Abstract
Knowledge has become a commodity in recent times rather than a value of intrinsic worth due to the emergent cycle of knowledge production and consumption. There is also an increase in the growth of predatory publishing within the guise of scholarship to meet the contemporary demands of academic capitalism. In this context, indexing services play a vital role in knowledge management. This research article aims to qualitatively articulate the functions of indexing services and its relevance for research publications in today’s marketized higher education scenario. The epistemic effectiveness of indexing services is analyzed to strongly assert its importance for the research community.
